Emergency Preparedness: All properties should have an established Emergency/Contingency Plan which cover the possibility of flooding (the Environment Agency website provides useful guidance in this regard.)
However, the key is not only in being ready in having an Emergency/Contingency Plan on a per property basis, but in knowing that this has been tested and workable. Tideway work with a Risk Manager who will test our plans in specific emergency scenario situations and this could include flooding (where appropriate).
Such testing is particularly important in establishing that staff will follow the emergency communications protocols when an incident actually occurs.
